Winter Driving: Permanent 4WD, ETC & Terrain Response® | Land Rover USA

[Music] Winter conditions are always changing and driving in them is about constantly assessing
those conditions to set the appropriate speed. Land Rovers have many features
to enhance performance in all conditions. All Land Rovers are equipped with
permanent four-wheel drive. This is a proactive system designed
to power all wheels at all times meaning each wheel shares the traction load. Another system Electronic Traction Control or ETC is
designed to help prevent wheel spin by applying brakes to the wheel with the least grip maintaining even
power distribution to all four wheels. These two systems, in addition to ABS and DSC,
work together as part of the technology exclusive to Land Rover called Terrain Response. Terrain Response allows the driver
to select using a single dial the appropriate setting for the driving conditions. Select Grass Gravel Snow and
some incredible things happen. The vehicle automatically sets off in second gear. The accelerator pedal becomes less
sensitive to prevent over acceleration. ABS, DSC and DTC become more alert to the conditions and all the systems work together
harmoniously to avoid wheel spin. Bottom line is convenience. These systems are incredibly complex but you don’t have to think about them at all. They’re always there working constantly to enhance vehicle performance whatever the conditions. Go to www.LandRoverUSA.com
