I think people rent in the Hamptons in the
summer because first of all it’s a fabulous place to be; there’s so much going on. One
of the things I’m getting a lot from my repeat rental tenants, because I could never
understand because I’m somebody who likes to own; they like to have a different experience
every summer. So they don’t even want necessarily the same house, they want something different.
Even if they love their house they want something different; so there’s something interesting
about serial renters. They want a different experience every summer. We want to be by
the bay, we want to be by the beach, we want to be in the woods; they keep changing it
up and I don’t’ know if that’s maybe getting them ready to decide what they want
to buy or it feels like a different vacation every summer. So I think that’s part of
it; it also gives them leeway to say you know what we’re not going to do the Hamptons
this year, we’re going to go to Paris. So I think there’s something very unique about
that, and a lot of people that are renters do ultimately buy. That’s another thing
that they really are buyers, renters are buyers.
