The Untold Truth Of Flipping Vegas

The Untold Truth Of Flipping Vegas

For five seasons, Flipping Vegas was one of
A&E’s most popular shows, with viewers captivated in equal measure by the houses being flipped,
and the couple flipping them, Scott and Amie Yancey. The Yanceys provided plenty of drama with
their on-screen fireworks, but behind the scenes, there were plenty of fireworks you
never got to see. Here’s a look at the untold truth of Flipping
Vegas. Scott began his career at 14 Self-proclaimed real estate guru Scott Yancey
is the founder of the Goliath Company, making his first real estate deal at the age of 14. After receiving $30,000 in an injury settlement,
Scott purchased a second trust deed on a single home, and by the time he was in college, he
was cutting deals for massive housing developments with over 3,000 lots. Scott told Vegas Seven that his time in the
real world taught him more than college ever did. “I’m not a college graduate. I went to probably five colleges, and I dropped
out of them all. I have ADD. I didn’t come from money. But you don’t need money to be a real estate
investor, and that’s what I teach people. I did my first land deal on my own without
any of my own money, and I netted $2.3 million. I can relate to most of the people who write
to me and say, ‘I’d love to do what you’re doing. I don’t like my job, but I don’t have any
money.’ Great, you don’t have to. You’re right where I started.” Amie has a need for speed A successful real estate agent in her own
right, Amie has sold more than 700 homes since moving to Vegas with Scott in 2004. Like her husband, she has a penchant for speed
and daredevil activities, with eight motorcycles and a Porsche in her collection. She also loves to ride horses, having grown
up on a horse ranch in Canada. They almost quit Scott and Amie almost quit the real estate
business all together when the market crashed in 2007. That idea changed after Scott overhead a conversation
at a restaurant in Nevada. As it says on Scott’s website: “At the next table, the discussion revolved
around the Las Vegas real estate market and the fact that there were homes available to
buy for as little as $36,000 that would rent out for $900 per month. Just hearing those two numbers put Scott’s
real estate brain into gear. Two things came to mind immediately, ‘You
make your money on the buy in Real Estate’ and ‘fortunes are made in bad economies.'” It began with a Glock In an interview with Vegas Seven, Scott said
the concept for the show was born during a conversation with some of his buddies from
Hollywood. “I’m from the Hollywood area originally, and
I was talking with some buddies who are in the industry. I was telling them how I had to pull my Glock
out on some homeless guys who came at me with needles in one of the houses that was all
boarded up. They’re like, ‘Man, you need your own reality
show.'” Good call! Rocky start They may seem like reality show naturals,
but Scott and Amie were anything but. Scott explained it in the introduction to
his book, Go Time: How to Make Insane Money In Your Real Estate Market” “The filming process really wasn’t the most
enjoyable thing we’ve ever done, especially in the hot Las Vegas weather. First, there are all of the technical issues,
like microphone and camera problems, dead batteries, sound issues when a plane flies
over or a boom box or loud stereo passes by. My wife and I weren’t fired up after the exhausting
filming sequence for that initial 45 minutes of video.” Thankfully, they soon adjusted to the rigors
of filming. The show is heavily edited For each episode, roughly 120 to 140 hours
of footage is shot, which is then edited down to just 43 minutes. Scott told the Las Vegas Sun that what you
see is only a tiny part of their regular lives. “The TV show usually edits in the drama. They don’t see that an hour from now, we’re
gonna be holding hands walking our dog somewhere. They edit it in a way that’s obviously going
to be most entertaining. They don’t ever show me say ‘Thank you, good
job’ to somebody or show us going to a restaurant at night or in the summer on a beach.” Some of the other things you don’t see? Scott and Amie writing one of their best-selling
real estate books, or working with their many charities, including The Honor Ride, which
helps wounded veterans. Real estate scam? After their success in real estate and on
the A&E series, the couple decided to turn their efforts toward education, launching
a nation-wide series of free seminars and workshops. “Well for some of you, this could very well
be the first step in your path to real estate success.” But not everyone has been happy with the results,
as the couple has been accused of scamming would-be investors, with claims that the workshops
are basically just an advertisement for seminars that can cost up to $38,000! “But the thing is, if you really have a system
that works, why is it $38,000?” “The way that he pitched it, it made a lot
of sense. But when we got there, it was absolutely nothing
like how they pitched it.” “It’s just totally wasn’t worth it. I was very disappointed” So is it a scam, or merely a case of misplaced
expectations? Either way, it’s a bad look for the one-time
stars of Flipping Vegas. Thanks for watching! Click the List icon to subscribe to our YouTube

  8. In one episode Scott was playing dice at the Hard Rock Casino. The chips were so phony. They were the plastic ones you play at home with.

  9. ยฟQuien es mas macho, Ricardo Montalban o Scott Yancey?

  10. This show is fake as hell and you can't even hardly watch the show anymore.

  11. Big time scam

  12. Write check, attend seminar, cancel check.ย  Problem solved!

  13. Scott you would not make any dollar if it wouldnโ€™t be for those hard working Latinos. You are Nothing without them.

  14. Dude I hope you don't burn ME
I really want to go to India

    Strike 1368369393

  15. Love her but the show is pretty much stupid. He yells at the help. He yells at the wife. He likes himself a lot. The end.

  16. Scott needs shot in the head

  17. If Amie was in a need for speed, why did she drive a Mercedes G-Wagen while Scott drove a Porsche 911 GT3 RS (997.2), a McLaren MP4-12C, and a Ferrari 458 Italia?

  18. i enjoyed flipping boston better

  19. Cheap nose job

  20. Flipping Vegas is entertainment at it's best. I would love to meet them in person, oh and if they were to ever put out a Box set of their 5 seasons, I would buy them in a heart beat. Thank you Scott and Amy!!!!!

  21. Amy must have the same plastic surgeon as the Jackson family

  22. it's fake no man could put up with a woman spending so much money and going behind his back on so many things.fake arguments that's th whole show

  23. I love this show, and still watch it.

  24. If Amy wasn't wife she would walk around with two black eyes.I would have devorced her and fired herin the same day.theydeserve each other but why put it on TV.๐Ÿ˜ฃ

  25. I never saw them

  26. This people are scammer!! Donโ€™t go to their free seminar

  27. It was a 1 script show.
He says do it cheap, and stupidly fast. She says, 'whatever', and supposedly secretly goes and cuts the stair blisters with a chain saw.
He takes a heart attack, and,
She claims all her over budget stuff sold the house quicker, and for more money.
    Rinse and repeat.
After 3 shows I never watched another.
Then I saw infomercials…..oh brother! I already know how to argue with a spouse, and make unrealistic budgets and time frames!

  28. Just started watching their show, and a show is what it is, and I really enjoy it. Amy does a great job an as for the rest itโ€™s part of hollywood

  29. Watched an episode for a few minutes, but he's so rude, verbally abusive, degrading tones…..couldn't take anymore.

  30. This A-Hole is living proof that money does not buy happiness. He seems to have it all. Nice cars, a beautiful wife, more money than one could ever spend in 10 lifetimes. He is a real bitch. Never seems to have a good day. Nothing ever goes right for this dipshit. And if it wasn't for his initial 30 thousand dollar settlement, he would be flipping burgers at his local McDonalds. It is beyond me why his wife stays with him. Although she is a real bitch most of the time anyway. Maybe it's the money, maybe it's the fact that they're on TV and she wants a career in Show Business. The bottom line is I can't stand to watch this show I saw one episode, and just because I thought it may be a fluke I watched another episode. It turned out to be exactly a carbon copy of the first. Nothing ever goes right. Nothing is ever done on time. By then of course with moments to spare, he gets the job done and makes himself a profit. The man is disgusting and a poor excuse for a real estate investor. I would be surprised if this show last just one more season. Trying to get out of shell business a hole. Your 15 minutes in the spotlight it's just about over. Buh-bye you effing LOSER.

  31. Scott is an a$$hole.

  32. Amy is such a cougar

  33. People actually paid 38K for house flipping seminars ? So many suckers in this world .They get taken because of their own greed. This real estate seminar biz has been around a long time. Really hooks the fools who have some money but cannot think on their own. Kiyosaki was the best scammer of them all.

  34. You have lovable Chip and Joanna Gaines, oh yes and then, you have these two. Not all reno shows are created equal! Scott is such a bully, how does Amie manage to put up with him or is this all scripted?

  35. How could he say he started with no money. Didn't the just say he got $30,000 from an injury.

  36. Scott gay as hell.

  37. I really like this show but for one thing. "Crappy Public Hatefulness". There are so so many times that I've yelled out loud at Amy to knock the crap out of Scott because of the hatefulness he shows pretty much of the time. How the contractors take either I don't understand. I'd walk off the job until he could tone down some. There is no reason whatsoever for him to talk the way he does to her or them. Tone it down Scott!! Love the show but lose the mouth please.

  38. How is a 14 year old allowed to do a real estate deal?

  39. I think the show would have gon on for a few more series if you didnt forcus on the damn drama

  40. Yep there is no way you could flip these houses in 2 weeks

  41. I don't trust people who talk real fast, in the end, it seems this couple might be scamming those dummies who come to their meetings! In the end, they will ask for money for their FREE training that they advertize! BEWARE of those two folks! See the red flags!

  42. I don't particularly like them, their's way too many fights between them and half of their drama they cause them selfs. I also think she rely's way too much on granite countertops when so many people like quarts way better.

  43. i like home renovating shows. they're relaxing. but this guy is too obnoxious for me.

  44. Hes got to be a flaming fruitcake. Prolly just a marriage of convenience.

  45. I don't know why people pay for anything nowadays Google has all your answers ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  46. HEY HEY PEOPLE , the joke is on you'all . This show is made for TV . All of the dramatics make for fun television. Try not to take it so seriously . Take it for what it is , A TV show . Hey it gets fricking hot in Vegas !

  47. I have not attended the 'free seminar' yet, but it sounds to me like their fine print says they are offering education only, while their surrogates probably mislead people into thinking that they will be offered concrete assistance to make deals. Whatever the case, I can't believe anyone would be gullible enough to pay 30,000 up front, but perhaps the two-stage method, pay 2,000 first, 30, 000 later, might lead some people to think 'we are already invested, so go all the way.' What disturbs me most, is that there are many of these scams which all follow the same formula, but with different speakers and different products or services sold. I wonder if there's one company behind them all, and they just pay different people to be their pitch men.

  48. Where is Gady๐Ÿคค

  49. You know I scheduled myself for one of his seminars in Dayton Ohio and then did a little research on YouTube to see what you expect and what his deal is very misleading for the commercials apparently at the end of each seminar they try to get $2,000 out of you for a three-day workshop and then somewhere along the line 30,000 is expected somewhere or something to that effect I'm really glad that I took a second look at this before going because it would have been a complete waste of my time I don't have money just laying around where I can throw $2,000 for 3 Days to try to better myself and make a better life for me and my family. Greed will get you nowhere and lies will take you straight to hell karma is a bitch good luck with that but I'm not going to be one of your ponzi's if you're going to make money off of me with your bogus seminars

  50. 2018?

  51. Fuck Scott n his open house deadline!!

  52. Scott Hanley needs to cool his attitude. I won't watch any more. I am tried of his putting Amy down

  55. Aimee also enjoys anonymous sex in public restrooms.

  57. hubby is a year or two from taking it in the ass in federal prison.

  58. Scott is a Rest stop predator.

  59. wife is a pro at giving rim jobs in gas station restrooms.

  60. A shameless fake couple

  61. Scott and his associates are disgusting talking about people WHO ACTUALLY work for a living, especially right in front of them; one must first learn to serve before one can lead.. he's an idiot

  62. That Scott is a boney arse skinny bastard. A good salad would kill him.He talks to people like shit and one day someone will knock the fucker out.God willing. You can tell it's all edited because speaking to people the way he does he would get the shit kicked out of his skinny muscle starved body.Hes a con man whose getting caught out and again God willing he will end up living in one of the poorly finished properties he patches over.Surely one day a good kicking will come his way and I just hope it's all in full on tv

  63. How the fuck does this boney arsed squeeky baby voice prick get anyone to work for him.Hes a skinny little shit house who couldn't win an argument with a 3 year old girl.Skinny little shit house couldn't blow a candle out.Im glad his missus had that affair. He forgives her because he knows he wouldn't get anyone else.Maybe an 80 yr old homeless woman might love him for one of his fucked up houses.Rat!!!

  67. Scott definitely looks like James Hetfield of METALLICA.

  68. 69. Dislike them.

  70. Scott's a big homo

  71. I remember when he turned green… Was hoping that he would keel over… He is a prissy whiny little slut that is so cheap it is not funny… He always screams and yells at her… She needs to drop that prick and use her talents for another company….. As to his seminars… All you get is a bagged lunch and some lame o pep talk… I think it is a scam… Wonder why the IRS has not looked in to their shit.. Why are they not in JAIL????

  73. Heโ€™s quick to block someone from his Facebook page for answering the ? About the show being canceled but heโ€™s fine if you call him a douchebag

  74. To bad. I really like Amie. I enjoy watching her. Hope she comes back.

  75. "you don't need money to be a real estate investor thats what i teach people." charges 2000 and 30000 for his useless courses after his freemium bullshit seminar lol

  76. Rtyyh

  77. I watched it today, and she was being a b***h about them cats trapped in the wall, Scott was doing his best to get them out, but she was talking about taking a chainsaw to his walls. She complains about everything, so much that it's nerve wracking. But I still love the show. Her too.

  78. Watched once what a a-hole

  79. Scott is a piece of shit

  80. I'd fuck her

  81. I've heard Amie and Scott's boyfriend "Cecil" do not get along at all.

  82. We need more Scott's in this country. It's fine to be a boss.

  83. Scott is a crying little b tch!!!

  84. I love the show. Kudos to poor Aimee for putting up with Scott. Lol ๐Ÿ˜‚ fun, smart and always entertaining! Jk

  85. I watched a couple of shows. It's all played up drama for TV. Pretty much a fake show.

  86. Arrogance personified in one so called human

  87. Amie do well to leave this jerk

  88. the worst show ever. they are "stressing" about everything even the smallest thing ever is stress for him. like an old lamp… terrible terrible, terrible.

  89. First, as a builder, I don't care how much money he has, and just seeing his show for the first time he comes across, in my opinion, a discredit to the industry and buyer beware. There is nothing flattering about how he speaks to his wife or the actual work he does. Like most people who have been successful in the building industry you need good business knowledge, a little cash to start and a strong work ethic while being able to remodel on your own. If you have those four chances are you'll do very well and paying someone to tell you that is BS. Finally walking around yelling cost you money, subcontractors hear that the only thing they can think of is and why do I want to work for you? So if you want to do well in the industry roll up your sleeves, learn the trade and pitch in.

  90. Amie, naughty, naughty, little scammer.

  91. Same scenario every episode. Scott picks up a cheap dump. Amy spends too much to dress it up. I spent more remodeling the bathroom of my middle class ranch than he spends totally remodeling a 3000 sq. ft. home. He must pay his Mexican workers $2 an hour because his materials have to be 95% of his total remodel cost. What a farce.

  92. This dude is so unrespecful with his wife, cheap ass mf.

  93. This guy is an ass! I have watched 2 episodes and all he does is bitch and complain about everything and everyone. I don't watch these shows to listen to this crap. So done watching this jerk!!!

  94. that "Injury settlement" was his first scam. since then he never looked back ๐Ÿ˜‚

  95. I'm so sure that homeless guys attached him with needles. Lmao the fuck outta here

  96. Amy is a whinny lil asshole… The contractors work day and night like dogs and just because she went picked the shit out she about to pass out from exhaustion…. Smh girl bye…

  97. I just watched this show and that guy is so rude I came here just to comment 'I WILL NEVER WATCH THIS SHOW AGAIN' !!!!!

  98. Wtf is wrong with the whiny obnoxious way she speaks?

  99. Which channel?

  100. The only good thing about this show is A.. The figures on the Real Estate women and B..The credits rolling. Everything in between is just crap.
