(gentle music) – I had not moved away from my house, I’d been there for 17 years. – [Interviewer] Okay. – Yeah, so that (laughs). Realtors have a reputation,
people don’t trust them and I was one of those people. – About four years ago
I decided really quickly that I wanted to move to Toronto. I’m originally from London, Ontario. Think it was about 48 hours later, I wanted to come down
and look at some places. – We were renting a house before and renting was, we
decided it wasn’t for us. – I realized pretty
early on that even though we’re selling homes to people,
it’s not actually about that. Building relationships
and trust with people over time is what’s going
to grow your business and in turn, help you do the
best job for your clients. – Whether we’ve known you for
five minutes or ten years, it’s not gonna matter, you
come to us with a problem, we’re the kinda guys who
wanna look at it and solve it. – I sent Tom a quick message on Facebook and you know, I’m pretty
sure it was within 24 hours that he came up with a list of places. That was really important to
me, that he had everything organized and that he
was able to move quick. – I actually, in some part of me knows I’m not your only client but
it feels (laughs) as if I am. – That story just speaks for itself. – [Interviewer] He’s
just chewing the cable. – Sorry, stop it! – Recently we were voted
as one of the top 100 realtors in Canada under 35 years old. Trust is what it comes down to and if we’re working
our ass off for somebody then they’re gonna refer us
to their friends and family. – [Interviewer] How much of your business, would you say, is repeat and referral? – Almost 90%. – Really?
– Yeah. – [Interviewer] If you got to
know him personally at all, what kinda guy was he? – He’s always on top of things. He’ll drop anything to help a customer. – Personable, he’s
approachable, easy to talk to. – Very kind and oddly enough,
I think that’s important when you’re an agent. – A real estate transaction
is definitely stressful. And that top tier agent
is somebody who’s gonna get you through in as
stress-free of a way as possible. – Anything from a $1,500 lease
to a three million dollar house purchase, we can do. – Do you have a real estate lawyer? No, don’t know how to get one. (laughs) Do you have a mortgage broker? Nope, how do I get one of those? – They had people that
they’ve worked with and that they had strong relationships with that we didn’t have
those connections before. And they ended up being fantastic. – He had the house staged. I mean, I came home from work that night (laughs) and I couldn’t
believe it was my house. – Mortgage brokers,
appliance people, lawyers, people that we trust,
literally from start to finish, when we hand them the key,
we take care of everything. – We did shop around, full
disclosure, we shopped around and we ended up deciding
to go with these people because they actually seemed
like they were the best and they were fantastic. – Oh it was great to just have somebody who was able to get me good
price and get the house off the market as soon as possible. – At the end of the day,
it was that he wanted to find me a place and that’s what we did that day, so, yeah. – My name’s Tom Storey. – And I’m Cam Woolfrey. – And we are the Storey Team
