I think one of our goals is to find ways that
we can mutually build our business together. Our success is tied directly to the ability for our clients,
our real estate partners to build their business as well. I’m hoping that agents will take away the idea
that social media gives them the power to be a publisher and to create opportunities and solutions
in the lives of their customers as well as all the people they do business with. This is a great opportunity
for us to connect with important partners that we have, real estate professionals across the country
and sharing with a focus on education. If you take a look at some of the numbers, they are astounding.
Eighty percent of all people that use the internet belong to a social network in the United States. Last
year social networks had three times more use than Google. It is estimated by 2014 social networks, just
the two big ones, Facebook and Twitter will be 500% more utilized than Google. I’m sure that many of
our real estate partners are asking this question, “Should I accept friend requests from clients or business
partners?” I use all of Facebook for marketing which means my tone on my personal account is just
as professional as the tone on my authored page so as a result I accept almost every friend request.
Okay next question is read “What is the best social network for residential real estate market?” If I
were to generalize I’d say Facebook is the best social network to generate incoming leads and new opportunities
just because of its sheer size. LinkedIn is increasingly becoming a great way to make context not just
in residential but across all financial services. To be able to really demonstrate the impact that effective
use of social media marketing can have on their business and to do it in a way that both at a strategic
view but some real interesting tactics about how that can be done in their local markets. That’s something
that’s going to make a real difference in their business and in the mutual business that we drive together.
We honestly don’t have a script as to what future webcasts will include; actually we’ll let
the real estate agents, the real estate professionals help us with that. We have learned that this is a great
medium to share with our real estate partners.
