  1. Taxes are too high already. Hidalgo is talking crap. Any money the government gets is spent immediately, they will not save it for flood control they will spend it as soon as it is in their greedy little hands. Never trust a politician.

  2. Good job republicans they don’t use the money like thier supposed to any way

  3. They were trying to hike it up before the new Texas law takes place,Scummy Af,they dont even know how to spend the money they have now

  4. Good job guys and booo booo for you Hidalgo and Garcia 🖕

  5. How about looking for savings of the money you already get? There is wasted money in your budget now, I guarantee it. Why is it always spend more, tax more?

  6. Harris county wants to raise taxes 10 percent every year. Which is totally ludicrous. With flooding and depreciation every year. The value is not the same as the cost of living increase. And as Houston and Harris county raise taxes on home ownership . The residents have to leave Houston and Harris county. This really destroys home ownership in Harris county. They mayor of Houston was supposed to cut spending and not hire people to worthless jobs. Instead he hired 257 people for what i don't know. And apparently the people of Houston voted for the firefighters. For equal pay. And it is still not been implemented. As the Democratic leadership tries to take over Houston and Harris county people are upset. Including the poor and middle class. They are getting screwed.

  7. All they do with taxes is steal. I'm glad the Republicans didn't show. This how they've been stealing all these years, but no more. We are tired of this theft. But mayor can give his boyfriend a 95,000 dol. internship. We need to vote them all out. They haven't done anything with what they have.

  8. About time someone stood up for Houstonians we've been standing up for flood victims all on our own
