How to Add a Lead Generating Poll to Your Real Estate Agent Website | LoriBallen.com 2018


Hi Guys is Lori Ballen here from BallenBrands
and BallenVegas.com. I own a real estate company. We serve Las Vegas Henderson and North Las
Vegas and that’s Lori Ballen Team at Keller Williams. And then I also own a digital marketing company
where we build real estate websites. Well, I’m coming here today to share with
you something that was cool that I tried on my website. I generated a lead from it and you might be
able to get some ideas. I always share whatever I discover and sometimes
my marketing company, we actually develop real estate websites. Sometimes we’ll build these things in depending
on the features and what they do. This particular thing is really cool. I want to sample it for you and you can add
this to any website where you can put the code. You don’t have to have one of my websites,
but I do want to show you this. So I’m on my website right now and this is
my BREW. BREW stands for Ballen Real Estate Websites. So this is what my company builds and one
of the things that I do on my own websites, and this is how I got to where I did with
developing websites. I test and measure everything because I’m
a marketer and I put heat maps on my website so that I can measure where people click,
where they scroll, where they leave, what buttons work, what buttons don’t work, I’m
watching it all. Well, I have been using Hotjar and testing
and driving it for a while now and I find it to be one of the most affordable heat map
options on the market that also still works at a high level. There are other ones that aren’t so great. Cliquey, which is the analytic software I
suggest has a heat map, but it doesn’t function like this. And so this is what I’ve been testing with
this just the other day. I was looking at something they rolled out
with their polls. Now you know what a poll is when you can ask
people a particular question. So the first poll I ever had on here was like,
how would you improve the website? And of course, the responses were like, don’t
force us to register things like that. But, what happens is you can see my website
here, these are some of the cool features, and got a search widget up at the top. I’ve got this slider here, we’ve got a call
to action buttons. Everything is generated and created to generate
more clicks and action and get the user to what they want faster. Right? We’ve got video, we’ve got reviews, we’ve
got community pages, they’ve got contact us, we’ve got blog pages and so on. Now what happens is you can change your settings
with this poll. If you look down here at the right-hand side,
you can see my pole. Well, that poll is completely customizable. So in my case, I put in when are you looking
to buy or sell? And you can also customize when it triggers
so it could trigger immediately upon landing, which I’m not a fan of. It could it when they scroll halfway down
the page, there are other triggers. I’ll show you in a second as well. What happens if I, I typed in, when are you
looking to buy or sell? So let’s say the user looks at that and goes,
oh, that’s not very intimidating. There are no fields to fill out. Let me go ahead and put in six months and
they click send. Now, this little pop-up box shows up and it
says, would you like a response to your question or comment? I need an agent. Please call me. I’m already working with an agent or I’m just
looking. Okay, so now I just set this up, uh, two days
ago I got five responses and one of them was, I want to talk to you. I want to buy a house. So they clicked this top button. I need an agent, please call me. And when they did that, this little field
popped up and they enter their phone number and that’s how we generate the lead. Now, here’s how we do it over here in Hotjar. You could just go set up your polls and see
your results. So let’s just go ahead and look at the polls
and look at the settings so you can see what you can do with it. When are you looking to buy or sell? Viewer responses. Whoops, I want settings. I’m sorry, polls. Okay. So I’m going to click on the actual pole itself. Uh, we’ll go to edit. Okay. So now here’s where I can rename it. Underneath that looks like 11 responses now. I can choose my targeting. I only want this to show up on the desktop. I only wanted to show up on tablets. I only want it to show up on phones or all
pages, or you could put this on one specific page and then you could actually set up a
poll that’s different for each page. So let’s just say you’ve got a page all about
investors and so you ask them some sort of investor question that would appeal to just
them. Maybe you’ve got an article about first time
home buyers and the little pop up shows up. It says, would you like to check your credit
score to see how much home you could buy or a are you interested in? In a first time home buyer’s guide or down
payment options, this is what this little poll does, all kinds of things. So then here’s where you write your questions. So I need an agent, please call me my phone
number is I’m going to try that one. Okay, and then we have a randomized order
or I can add another answer and then we can change how the thank you looks. We can change the colors to match your theme
or be on contrast of our theme of we want it to stand out and then the behavior and
we want it to launch immediately after a delay of how many seconds when the users about to
abandon a page, you pop up shows up, says, “Hey, wait”, okay, you could do that when
the user scrolls down. And then do you want them to see it only once
or on every page until they fill it out, you know, over and over until they submit a response. And then you can save and close. So that is how you add a poll to your real
estate website. If you are in need of a real estate agent
website, I’m going to even tell you one thing further that mine does is, all of my leads
from all the different sources are all funneled in. We actually built out a real estate version
of Infusionsoft that automatically tags my leads, puts them into either the arrival of
campaign survival or revival. They automatically get text messages and this
is a form of autopilot ISA (inside sales agents). So instead of having an inside sales agents
sitting there chasing everybody, this system is doing that follow up with us and it’s completely
there just to get people to raise their hand. And as soon as somebody raises their hand
by texting us back and saying, answering a question, now we have one of our licensed
agents actually get in touch with them and start communicating and working on the process. So if you’re interested in a real estate agent
