Hope’s Windows | Our Story | Residential Products

Spectacular views deserve unique windows and doors. At Hope’s windows and doors
we can help bring your vision to life, whether you’re restoring an historic estate
or building your dream home. We’ve been designing and handcrafting
hot-rolled steel and bronze windows and doors for more than 100 years
right here in the United States. And we continue to refine the art
that makes them the most luxurious and longest lasting in the world. When you invest in Hope’s
steel or bronze windows and doors your reward is unsurpassed durability
and unparalleled value. It’s not uncommon to find 100 year old
steel windows still in use today. Because steel windows and doors are
dramatically stronger than either wood or aluminum, the frames can be
substantially thinner which means more natural light and more ways to bring the
outside into your home. Walking through the front door of our
factory is like taking a step back in time. You hear the din of hammers and chisels
as craftsmen use 100 year old methods to give shape and form to raw steel. Every part is marked by hand and measured
to within a few thousandths of an inch – the width of a human hair. Cutting, drilling and straightening are done with precision machinery,
a practiced hand and an expert eye. It takes time, but for windows designed to last
for generations, it’s the only way. With Hope’s you also have complete
design control and can choose from virtually unlimited shapes, sizes,
and styles full of unique character. Of course technology allows us to make
improvements that simply can’t be done by hand. Fusion welding uses nearly two tons of
pressure to join frames for seamless, waterproof corners and unsurpassed strength. Each frame is painted by hand following
extensive pretreatments for maximum protection. With more than 65,000 color choices,
including custom matches and patinas, versatility is an understatement. At Hope’s we hand spray every surface
– even the ones you’ll never see – because it protects your investment and
because it’s the right thing to do. During final assembly, craftsmen hand-fit glazing beads, weatherstripping, and solid bronze
hardware in your choice of finish. While there are certainly less expensive
options, there are a few that are more durable, more beautiful, or more
focused on a perfect final fit. Many Hope’s window and door products
are even certified for compliance with some of the most demanding building codes. At Hope’s we make impeccable quality
that you can see and feel. We invite you to visit our factory,
let us come see you, or request a sample today. And see why nothing compares to the handcrafted
American workmanship of a Hope’s window or door.
