Filthy Section 8 Bad Tenants Caused $13,000 Damage to Rental Apartment

(baster squeaking) (metallic clanking) (baster squeaking) (metallic clanking) (water burbling) (baster squeaking) (metallic clanking) (baster squeaking) – [Jeff] There’s the dirty
filter pulled out compared with a new one. Looks like it hasn’t been changed in probably a year or more. So here’s the damage left
by the air conditioner because they didn’t change the filters. The air conditioner got clogged,
and it overflowed water, and it kept running down,
so there’s the mold growing on the wall, and the water
dripped down all over. This is a pan that we had here to catch it til we stopped the leak. Water had dripped down all over
the top of the water heater and then ran down, and
it all got caught down at the bottom here in the drain pan, so you can see it’s all rusty down there, ’cause water had been sitting. When we took over the apartment here on September 1st, I believe it was, (pan clanking) the water was all the way
to the top of this pan and was ready to overflow,
and we had to suction it out before we could even turn
the air conditioner back on. This is the filter pulled
out of the air conditioner. You can see how dark and dirty it is. In fact, it’s supposed to be white, and it’s so filled with
dirt on both sides of it that the airflow wasn’t
even getting through it, and the only thing that was
getting through was a little bit of dust and dirt, no air at
all, and that dirt had clogged up the coils on the air conditioner, and it took us three hours
of putting foam on it to get it all off. There’s the iron damage. Here in the guest bathroom,
the towel rack is missing, so we’re going to have to replace it, and up here on the wall
here, they had some kind of a wallpaper banner that left all sorts of gum material behind,
adhesive, and we had to scrub it off, and we’re
gonna repaint the bathroom now. Here in the laundry
room, I don’t even know how they did this, but they (cabinet squeaking) just about pulled the
cabinets off the wall. They’re gonna have to be
reseated, re-anchored. (cabinet squeaking) This here’s a piece of
furniture they left behind. Okay, here you can tell we’ve
had to pull every door down in the house here and paint it, okay. This is the kitchen area here. The master bath door right here, you can see the whole bottom of it. We’ve just got done sanding some of it, but it had all sorts of
liquid damage on the bottom, and it appeared to be from an animal, ’cause it smelled like pet urine, and that would explain the
carpeting in the master bedroom, why it was so terribly stained. Missing screen. 1. THIS IS WHY YOU DONT RENT TO SECTION 8 LOW LIFE TRASH. HELL… most of them don’t work and live off the government so they have plenty of time on their hands to clean and keep up with a house! Damn!

  2. Why any renters install carpet is beyond me.

  3. don't forget there is such a thing as nightmare landlords.  when both sides do their part its beneficial to both parties. and section 8 is also used for veterans that are disabled.

  4. It's upsetting to see those things. The law needs to allow landlord to collect from these tenants. Bad tenants are bad tenants, Section8 or not

  5. Obama made it so section 8. Can live in brand new condos pay basically nothing free groceries. And still no money for school supplies. Free lunch programs but still manage to drive expensive cars. .

  6. people dont care because its not there properly rentals are not what they use to be

  7. I said it once but ill say it again and again. Section 8 recipients should be forced to care for someone else's property by passing a law that says that any person/family benefiting from the program will be banned for life if they cause significant damage beyong nomal wear and tear to a property unless they pay for those damages out of their own package.

  8. I rented out my house to a section 8 single mother with a little girl. In order to qualify as a rental your house got to be immaculate and up to code. She was on welfare and only paid $135.00 on the $800.00 rent for the 3 bedroom with a $300.00 deposit.Once a year the Housing Authority will inspect and qualify for another year. After the first year she fell in lust with my handyman and wanted him and his 2 kids to live with her, which brought her part of the rent down to like $70.00and H.A. added him to her contract.A few month later she got her fill of him and wanted ME to evict him.l told her that was on her and she wasn't happy but finally got him to move but now she couldn't come up with her, now again ,higher share of the rent.Somehow that became MY fault and she would take til the end of the month to pay. Then came reinspection time and she failed ( dirty stove, dirty bathrooms, dirty carpets ,no litterboxes for her cats, unmowed lawnes and dogfeces all over the backyard ) so no more section 8 till she passed inspection and no money for me cause she " didn't have it " . After about 6 month of trying to reason with her she DEMANDED a letter of recommandation so she could keep her section 8 ! l had to hire an eviction service to get her out.She
    scalped my rosebushes to the
    ground,took some build in
    installed kitchen items,broke the
    toiletseats,ordered a dumpster
    where she deposited
    sleepingbags and camping and
    exercisequipment she had
    borrowed and soaked everything
in motoroil , left big holes in the walls where shelves had been
    bolted and locked the full
trashcans in the house, windows closed in july. Then she called P.D. to keep me off the property until the 1st! Wrote me a nasty letter for causing her daughter to lose the dog she loved ….(she moved in with her parents and kept the dog) .l took pictures and went to H.A. to let them know what kind of person they were paying for and was told I SHOULD HAVE TAKEN A HIGHER DEPOSIT !!! To make matters worse l had to give her a decent recommandation in the letter or she would still be there ! That was the last time l rented to section 8…….

  9. I just don't know why they don't inspect their rental property this then wouldn't happen

  10. Lol. A little more than normal wear and tear

  11. People have to do that shit on purpose there's no other explanation.

  12. That’s section 8???? Man that’s a nice home and the pigs ruined it.
I would not do section 8 next tie around if I were landlord

  13. Section 8 should end completely. Some people never owned a home. How could you expect them to. Maintain and clean the residence. For the subsidy that you received from government every month, is not worth it. Some families can destroy a home. The stress and cost is not worth it.

  14. Shoot i lived next door to a section 8 renter, she had her 6 kids and herself in a two br townhome with finished basement that I pay $795 for per month, plus utilities. And she only paid $16 for, plus gets a monthly check for her utilities, free daycare and foodstamps???? The system is screwed up!!!! She only sleeps with dead beat men, and gets pregnant to have kids so she gets more benefits!!! It's sick! She also drives a really nice car i presume from selling her over $1,000 in foodstamps monthly!

  15. I do agree with the landlords to not rent to Section 8 Tenants, but not all Section 8 Tenants are like that, because i am one and i treat other's people property like it is my own.

  16. And i can see the tenants side, there are some slumlords who doesn't fix anything but still wants, to get paid. Not condoning what they did but everyone deserves a decent and affordable place to live.

  17. How the hell do people live like this??? I now rent and my house may get a little cluttered sometimes but it’s clean. This is disgusting.

  18. Do you have to pay for that damage? I cant see how you could get money out of the tenants if they are section 8. If you dont get reimbursed for it at all i cant see renting to section 8 ever being profitable.

  19. I take it that the "thumbs down" for your video would be section 8 recipients…

  20. Start taking away their welfare benefits when they do this. The song would certainly change. Useless excrement is all these people are.

  21. you should have CHANGED your filters

  22. New flash people!!!! Do y'all know people on section 8 works too. If not well now y'all know. I don't know anyone who has section 8 pay $24 nor $50. I myself have section 8 and my potion is 1,000 a month and my gas bill is almost$300 or more a month and that's not including my electricity. My landlord is a slumlord. I haven't had heat in two years and I pay for heat but the heater doesn't work. Everything falling apart in my apartment. I myself have fixed some things on my own because I just don't want my children living in those conditions. Just found out I'm paying for the gas for the tenants under me as well and guess what!!! They pay cash for they apartment and it looks horrible. They don't recycle and they never bring the trash to the curb. So if I forget at night when garbage is to be taken out or don't have time in the morning when I leave the garbage just sits until next garbage run!!!! So no it's not section 8 people. Oh and I noticed some people up here talking about 850 in rent and they pay cash. Funny I pay more for my potion do you pay in rent with your cash smh 😂😂😂😂😂 well what ever. I'm saying all this to say sometimes you get bad section 8 tenants and you get bad cash paying tenants. You some times get slum Lord's like myself or some time you get good landlords. I haven't ran across one as of yet but I'm sure they are out here. Oh and before y'all scream about me being on section 8. I had my section 8 for 2 years so before that I paid flat out cash!! And from what I'm seeing even with me on section 8 I pay more money than some of you smh.

  23. I also had a renter from hell, but I was able to evict her faster than the low life could cost me another month of free rent. She also caused a lot of damage in the apt which I had to fix from my own money. What can you do? this is the ugly part of this business.

  24. I rent only to single professionals or couples that have references, the money for one month's rent deposit, first month's rent up front with a detailed signed contract permitting me to inspect the property every two months among other specifications.

  25. People like this should be put to work cleaning highways, parks, maintenance, etc to earn their keep. Less tax payer money wasted.

  26. Want to get the easy money from the government, suffer the consequences.

  27. Went in a rental house for a buddy of mine not sure if they where section 8 or not but they seemed they had money wrote down what i needed to repair on the house sent him what needed to be done he gave me the ok to do it went in and the hole house smelled like weed for the 3 hours i fixed it i got contact high from it but what needed to be repaired was the blinds needed fixed fire alarms where broken and all the knobs needed fixed and the closets came off no clue how

  28. What a shame. When you get a nice home for next to nothing, the very least you could do is pay your rent and respect the property. What the hell is wrong with these people?

  29. Section 8 is a cancer on society.

  30. Not all people just living off the government some people work all, their lives but just not making enough money to live on.

  31. And to continue some are disabled, have to pay for medical . Not all Section 8 Tenants are bad.

  32. You all just ran into some nasty people, who doesn't give a dam about other people property.

  33. This may sound strange, but have you looked at the slum tenements in places like India? The government won't house these people due to the personal choices they make.
People choose or are born into a 'class'. The Section 8 class often have mental health issues, poor education, ect.. Often, they just 'play the system' with goals of Obamaphones & food stamps. Girls are encouraged to keep having children via the government welfare industry. More often than not, the 'entitled' is generational. They come from it. Many age out of government handouts ending up homeless or close to it.

The US has 'entitled' the whole damn country by creating a society of super-consumers riddled with debt. Though not your common 'lowlife', this new class can't afford to rent and do not 'qualify' for anything. Many end up on the street. Most probably would make decent tenants.
Take a look at educated homeless in San Francisco. New York. …

    We are fast becoming 'India'.

  34. The worse part is the private property destroyed by section 8 tenants like vandalism to innocent nearby home owners and businesses.
Section 8 housing should be outlawed and the people that created the program should be justly and humanely burned alive at the stake.

  35. I live on section 8 in ohio and have been in the same place for 4 years and would never think of doing something like this section 8 has nothing to do with bein nasty nasty people are everywhere not just section 8 people its all about respect period

  36. excellent about time the section 8 tenant fuced over the sick in the head whtie middle class american evil savage landlord its usually 80 percent of the time the white middle class evil sick in the head landlord fucing over teh section 8 tenant in many ways good job section 8 tenants my heros

  37. this is no way near 13 thousand dollars worth of damage what a bull shit video

  38. section 8 tenant gets his revenge oh yeah

  39. its about 500 dollars worth of damage big deal u have their security money

  40. what bull shit section 8 people able to live in a condo this guy is sick

  41. lay off the drugs pal u r halucinating

  42. u call that a condo if it was in mint condition it would be a shit hole i live in a one thousand times better apartment than u shit hole im in a much better program then section 8 it pays higher rent then sectiion 8 and i have an arabic muslim landlord not a peice of shit whtie middle class savage that rents shit hole dangerous apartments to people on section 8 i am a poor white disabeld man i know how evil and sick in teh head u people are i had to escape u savages and move out of the white middle class neighborhood to the arabic neighborhood to get safe decent apartmetn with a decent person as a landlord thank god for my arabic landlord he is one thousand times better then u sick in teh head evil whtie middle class savages and teh arabic muslims rent us disabled people one thousand times better apartmetns even new apartments in new buildings with new fridgerators the arabic muslims are my heros they saved me from u savages

  43. Not all Section 8 renters are bad renters, I am on section 8 because I’m disabled with low income and I have a beautiful home, actually told that I have one of the cleanest in the complex. I fell the landlord should visit his property if feels iffy about the maintenance and upkeeps of the property. Good references are good things to do. This makes it hard for good renters like me to get a place nice. You can’t put all section 8 people in one basket and say BAD APPLES, I’m a Good one. I always give people there property back to them the way I get it . But the one that mess up people’s property should be kicked off the program permanently.

  44. Question! When section 8 tenants destroy a place are they then denied Section 8 from then on?

  45. This guy wants to feel sorry for his neighborhood-destroying ass. Screw him and his muh-dick tenants.

  46. These people live like animals. Disgusting. Children were there too. Child protective services need to know of these living conditions. Gross people.

  47. How much was your deposit?

  48. You dont get it. They are animals. Got it. They dont know any better. Your brought up like an animal thats the way you will always live. Take a walk around walmart. A woman dragging 3 kids around the store Screaming like animals. I see it all the time. Those kids have a one way ticket to jail.

  49. I see this all the time. Ive never rented 2 section 8. I get good tenents with out that. Hope you learned your lesson? Ive seen where the people wont even walk to the bathroom to pee. They just do it in what ever room there in. No joke. Crap and all.

  50. Like an animal kennel

  51. If you have children, you may as well have dogs in the house.

  52. Who is insane enough to rent to Section 8 tenants? They live like pigs.

  54. Very Common.

  55. First of all, you're an ass. Second, it wasn't the fault of section 8, but the tenant. A tenant who was not granted section 8 could do just as much damage or more. Maybe you did not vet the tenant thoroughly enough? As for filters, in many states it is the landlords responsibility to change filters in equipment that comes with the house/apartment, and you are actually bitching about a dryer lint trap??? I think that tenants should steer clear of YOU. Is your lease thorough and signed by an attorney? Just some things to think about for future reference.

  56. How do you calculate the hours it sopposedly took to clean up these properties? Either your crew is screwing you over or you have some slow ass workers. It wouldn't take more than 2-3 days to repaint that small condo and replace the carpet and do some cleaning. If you hate section 8 Tennant's so much then why did you rent to them anyways ?

  57. Savages!! These people should be given a section 8 move out assesment when moving out . If left in shambles their aid should be terminated.

  58. black people main objective burn the world down

  59. Stop renting to ignorant niggas!

  60. We added a video DIY How to Install Laminate Flooring Hardwood Floors to help you recover from situations like this when they destroy your floor.

  61. If I did this I’d first off not have any carpet. I’d have hard wood or tile throughout. I’d teach them about cleaning the dryer and changing the A/C filter. Maybe they didn’t know how. I’d have in my contract no pets, no painting of walls. I’d buy used washer/dryer on Craigslist not new. And I’d do 3 month inspections.

  62. They make their living on their backs breeding like rabbits, so they can get a free ride off our broken backs, that live paycheck to paycheck, and we still have to make ends meet. This is why I agree with section 8 being ended. If they can eagle spread every 9 months with any and every sperm donor, they can get up off their entitled asses and work like the rest of us.

  63. What else would you inspect

  64. That's a dam shame. How does this happen? People beg for a nice place to live on Section 8 then tear it apart. They are responsible for the cost of repairs and will loss their Section 8. A simple cleaning or asking the landlord to help them replace filters could have avoided that damage.

  65. Who ever they were they should have not done that l that make other section 8 people that have section 8 that looking for housing look bad we are not like that

  66. How often do you inspect YOUR unit?

  67. I don't know much about section 8 but anyone who has the help and do this kind of damage should automatically be shut off from help and this should be considered a crime. They should also do time for this due to the landlord having to pay for their mess and taking the time to fix everything. I am sure the person had children that were more than likely not properly taken care of. Also I bet if the photos were taken before they moved out. It must have been pure filth, disrespect. Just nasty. These types of people mess it up for those who need it. This is why many areas refuse to accept section 8.

  68. The only people that should be allowed on section 8 are the disabled and elderly that's it . Not these lazy degenerates and baby mothers with 10 kids with eight different fathers

  69. Wtf it lived in fuck off

  70. I find that window screens are the first to go. Hole in the bathroom door. All ways a broken recliner left behind. You wonder about the violet lives they lead that causes so much to a home.

  71. This is disgusting these kind of people deserve to live on the street!

  72. Who the fuck puts 100 dislikes ? Oh must be the people who are in section 8 and who do this kind of thing.

  73. I don’t get it, Section 8 pays their rent, they should vouch for the people that put in there. Section 8 should be responsible for all damages. They could in turn, take that out of their assistance. Play, you pay.

  74. I would rather burn my 2 rentals to the ground than rent to sect 8 slobs.

  75. That sounds more like welfare people section 8 people usually take care of places for fear if they mess up property they will loose their housing voucher it’s a damn shame hope you didn’t give them their security back and you should report them and they will be kicked off good luck

  76. We have rental properties. In the beginning we had a section 8 renter. Never had her small portion on time. As far as the damage is concerned, these are the people who throw trash out the windows of ther cars. If you are the city don't provide them with a trash can they will put out trash bags. Their children will play swing with the storm door or put rolls of toilet paper down the toilet.
I have worked for housing authority in the late 70's and was promoted to Section 8 in the early 80's. Back then you had to be referred to get on the section 8 program. Also you had to have a job take home management classes. But when the city decided to do away with public housing that group was force upon neighborhoods that were middle-class bringing their social ills with them

  77. My question would be, how often do you check on your properties? Mine, well, come on in. Get comfy. ANYTIME! No, i dont have a landlord looking over my shoulder, but i should have! This house, for 3 years mind you, the previous renters were never checked on.
This place was a dog house for hoarders….3 dogs, allowed to run in 2 rooms, 1 bathroom, 1 eat & play room. We helped remove 3 years of hoarding a 3 bedroom, full basement, & the 2 car garage.
This should never have happen to this poor old soul of a house. Lazy landlords contribute to this problem & its easily solved. LANDLORDS! CHECK UP ON YOUR PROPERTIES!

  78. Older video but had to comment!! How do people live like this!!!!????
I hope you came out ok!!

  79. My god how can you put pigs in house to live

  80. I could live in a studio. I could live in a big house. My home would be clean and organized.

  81. People like them who rent and destroy makes it harder for us other renters I'm very clean that makes me sick

  82. I've seen places with people not on section 8,that did a lot more damage then that. Don't blame everyone on section 8 because of a few bad apples.

  83. As an owner or manager of an apartment complex you must inspect the units twice a year. To insure this kind of thing never happens. If there are violations, you document it early. If it continues, they should be asked to leave.

  84. Someone else has to clean and fix it.

  85. And cities keep wondering why as years go on. why less and less landlords want to be part of the section 8 program.

  86. Just tell the truth you did not come once every six months and expect inspect the apartment

  87. All you did was quite your money and your rent and plus you got a damage deposit what you are going to keep

  88. Because you did not do your job as a landlord you ended up with a mess

  89. I'm a section 8 voucher holder and I would never do something like this to my apartment I rent. I know that I could loose my voucher if I destroy the unit that I rent. Sorry for what your tenants done to your place.

  90. It’s section 8. What do u expect

  91. U wonder where these folks come from.most people, whether in a studio , or expansive dwelling, always clean their homes.

  92. There's no neec of complaining because this is the dura ration of business your in .dis you do a background check on your tenats before ypu allowed them to rent your property

  93. What your owners end up doing us using the same old white paint re buffing the floors some times y'all take all things out of your units to mske them look new we kniw the games y'all play.

  94. After seeing that lint filter on that dryer, I'm surprised your property didn't go up in flames.

I hate to be a dick, but most of this is self-inflicted on your part. I'm sorry they trashed your property, but as a landlord you should have been more diligent. Like many others, you probably thought that renting to Section 8 tenants was easy money with little effort. Boy, were you wrong. I have a friend who is a landlord for multiple properties as well as flips houses in Erie PA, and I have been in and helped clean up much worse than what you have. It's all a part of being in the business.

Hopefully you learned something from this. By the way, you did do a good job fixing your properties.

  95. Damnn

  96. This is when you start breaking knee caps, never ever rent to welfare

  97. That doesn't look like 13,000 worth of damage. Your just digging in pockets….and besides, did you ever look at the property from time to time? It's been needing work done for a long time…

  98. Fucking trashy ass free loading ghetto mitherruckers. End section 8 altogether.

  99. If the landlord was properly overlooking his property this would not happen. Yes people are filthy pigs but all this in two years seens excessive. I.e. when you renewed thier lease, nobody walked through the house prior????

  100. lol, towel bar anchors look super cheap, no wonder they came off…
probably fell off from normal use. Actually , this looks like a drug
den, metal missing? desperate for cash.
