Custom IDX Maps For Real Estate Agents

Custom IDX Maps For Real Estate Agents

Hi everyone, I’m Jason Olsen from Zafha,
and today I want to chat with the real estate agents out there. As most of you know online MLS
property search is crucial to your business. 95% of home seekers use the internet in their
home search. This may not be surprising, but what is surprising
is that few agents are catering to their specific market with unique, and location-focused search
that provides another path for visitors to find their new home. The most common advanced search looks like
this. This can be a great tool when it’s needed,
but navigating all of these fields, drop downs, and radio buttons can be a lot of work. A solution to simplifying the search process
is a custom interactive saved search map. To give you a better idea as to what this
looks like, here is an example of one of our latest custom real estate map builds. These maps are currently live at secordstevensonteam.com
for you to take a closer look at. This map allows your website visitor to explore
saved searches that are within your market. We have added some hover effects to reinforce
these clickable areas, which lead to the saved searches that have been created. In this case, by clicking on the Bellingham
area, you see that it leads me directly to a collection of predetermined search results
that are easy to control. From here, the visitor can also easily modify
their search to get closer to what they’re looking for. This particular map covers on an entire county,
but these custom maps can be created for any area that you choose. In this example, we’ve broken down the city
of Bellingham into its individual neighborhoods. And we’ve added some text on hover for additional
neighborhood information. As the advanced search page showed us, they
have the ability to be very specific, but what makes these interactive maps special is
in the user experience. Visitors can avoid long columns of fields
and dropdowns with just one click on the area making the search experience that much better. It can also help prevent filter mistakes by
your visitor that can lead to frustration, and an early bounce from your website. We’ve found these maps to be a great tool
in utilizing existing IDX integration, while simplifying the search process for your potential
clients. So consider adding one to your website for
a great web experience, and more leads. If you have any questions, please comment,
subscribe, or contact us at Zafha.com. Thanks for listening…
